President Trump is draining the swamp! He just ditched 500 employees from this agency and that’s just the beginning…
There was one particular agency that President Trump called ‘probably the most incompetently run agency in the United States‘.
President Trump has just fired 500 employees of the Department of Veteran’s Affairs, suspended 200 more, and 33 were demoted according to the Daily Caller.
VA Secretary David Shulkin has committed to greater transparency for the agency that is supposed to care for the needs of our veterans. But this isn’t the Obama-era ‘transparency’, Secretary Shulkin has stated that the agency will post employee firings and update it weekly. Shulkin was an Obama appointee that grew increasingly frustrated with the American Federation of Government Employees union that worked with Democrats to defend the bad behavior of VA employees.
And the behavior was very bad indeed.
Those disciplined include 22 senior leaders, more than 70 nurses, 14 police officers, and 25 physicians.
Also disciplined were a program analyst dealing with the Government Accountability Office, which audits the department, a public affairs specialist, a chief of police and a chief of surgery.
Many housekeeping aides and food service workers — lower-level jobs in which the department has employed felons and convicted sex offenders — were also fired.
Many veterans have died waiting for care while VA beaurocrats have falsified information to gain monetary bonuses.
This is the very issue that many opposing government-run health care are concerned about — and what occurs in many nations with socialized medicine. (See the ClashDaily article on Charlie Gard.)
Beaurocrats can behave without the best interests of the patient in mind, and unionized government employees are very difficult to discipline or terminate. At least when the Left is in charge.
But there’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s got Drano and a plunger.
Shulkin expresses his frustration with what became the status quo:
“Just last week we were forced to take back an employee after they were convicted no more than three times for DWI and had served a 60 day jail sentence … Our accountability processes are clearly broken,” Shulkin said at the White House.
In addition to reluctance by managers to vigorously pursue firings, the overturning of firings after the fact by the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB) — often with little public acknowledgment — has been a longstanding problem.
Shulkin asked for new legislation that reduces the role of MSPB, especially when firing senior leaders. Congress passed the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability and Whistleblower Protection Act in answer, and Trump signed the bill in June.
Contrast the 500 firings, 200 suspensions and 33 demotions to the Obama administration’s philosophy of bad employee behavior at the VA:
During the Obama administration, [former VA Secretary Bob] McDonald lamented that in the private sector “you cut a deal with the employee and you’re able to buy them out,” but said you cannot do that in government.
Yet VA repeatedly made five and six-figure payments to bad employees to get them to quit after they threatened to gum up the works by appealing disciplinary actions….
…The agency paid more than $5 million in settlements to employees under McDonald, which had the effect of encouraging bad employees to relentlessly appeal and make unsupported charges of discrimination when they were targeted for discipline, in an often-successful attempt to convert punishment into reward.

VA Secretary Shulkin said that he ‘will look to settle with employees only when they clearly have been wronged … and not as a matter of ordinary business.‘ A practice that seems to have been the default of the Obama administration.
This is a great start to getting our veterans the best care that we can.
President Trump is committed to our military and our veterans.
What a nice change!

Cyber Berkut published this damning news today.
Hillary Clinton campaign and the Ukrainian government!
According to Cyber Berkut the Ukrainian foundation transferred 10 to 25 million dollars to the Clinton Foundation.
Ukraine sponsored the Clinton Foundation using IMF loans!
The Ukrainian investigation case connected to commercial banks that laundered IMF’s money from the National Bank of Ukraine is still going on. According to the investigation, such banks as Tavrika, Pivdenkom Bank, Avtokraz Bank, CityCommerce Bank, Finrost Bank, Terra Bank, Kyivska Rus Bank, Vernum Bank, Credit Dnepr Bank, Delta Bank were involved in the criminal scheme. Funds were transferred through Austrian Meinl Bank AG.
We, CyberBerkut, decided to contribute to the investigation.
Having examined the materials published on the Internet we focused on two financial organizations named...
If you've ever gone to a summer camp in North America, the odds are good that you have been duped into participating in a snipe hunt or shamelessly duped others into participating in one.
A snipe hunt is a hunt for an elusive and imaginary creature called, well, a snipe. The unsuspecting victim is led to an outdoor spot, given an empty sack or pillowcase, and told to make creaturely noises to attract the prey into his clutches. After promising to chase the creatures right to him, his fellow campers melt into the darkness.
Then the campers return to camp and sit around the campfire eating s'mores and laughing themselves silly, waiting to see how long it will take for their hapless victim to discover that he's a dupe.
Well, in its frenzied, mindless, and utterly irrational attack on Donald Trump, the Talking Snake Media is leading gullible, easily duped Americans on the political equivalent of a snipe hunt.
Charges of "collusion," "conspiracy," and "treason" are bandied about wildly as if the mere brainless repetition of the words will make the totally imaginary charges stick.
The latest maniacal frenzy is over Donald Trump Jr.'s 20-minute meeting with a lawyer from Russia in June 2016, right after Trump Sr. had secured the GOP nomination. There are numerous problems with the media's efforts to use this brief encounter to drag Trump and his aides into the swamp and drown them there.
First, the lawyer was not representing the Kremlin. She disclaims any connection to the Kremlin, and the Kremlin says it has no connection to her. In America, at least, this puts the burden of proof on the accusers.
Second, what happened cannot possibly be treason for the simple reason that we are not at war with Russia.
Third, she had no incriminating information about Hillary to share. And it wouldn't be a crime if she did. "Collusion," even though it's a sinister sounding word, is only a crime when it's part of an effort to commit financial fraud. There simply is no law against receiving opposition research from anybody, even including a representative of a foreign government (which this attorney was not).
And if it is a crime, then Hillary Clinton should already be under lock and key in the nearest federal prison for "colluding" with Ukraine to defeat Trump.
According to Politico – in a January article I'm sure it wishes it could bury in the same swamp they're trying to drag Trump into – Ukraine is accused of actively colluding with the Clinton campaign to sabotage the Trump campaign.
Feast your eyes on these excerpts (emphasis added):
Donald Trump wasn't the only presidential candidate whose campaign was boosted by officials of a former Soviet bloc country.
Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office. They also disseminated documents implicating a top Trump aide in corruption and suggested they were investigating the matter, only to back away after the election. And they helped Clinton's allies research damaging information on Trump and his advisers, a Politico investigation found.
A Ukrainian-American operative who was consulting for the Democratic National Committee met with top officials in the Ukrainian Embassy in Washington in an effort to expose ties between Trump, top campaign aide Paul Manafort and Russia, according to people with direct knowledge of the situation.
The Ukrainian efforts had an impact in the race, helping to force Manafort's resignation and advancing the narrative that Trump's campaign was deeply connected to Ukraine's foe to the east, Russia.
Yet Politico's investigation found evidence of Ukrainian government involvement in the race that appears to strain diplomatic protocol dictating that governments refrain from engaging in one another's elections.
In a word, Yikes.
Bottom line: maybe there is an actual snipe to hunt here (there is a real bird called a snipe) – but the name of the bird, it turns out, is Hillary Clinton.
